Our Story: From a Family’s Need to a Lifeline for Others:
Air-MedAssist was born from a family’s own journey through medical transport. Discover how our story has shaped the services we provide to families in need today.
At Air-MedAssist, we believe that no family should have to navigate medical transport alone. Our story began with a personal experience that shaped the heart of our mission.
When our first child was born with a diaphragmatic hernia, they needed immediate medical transport to the Children's Hospital in Tampa Bay, FL. The journey to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where he was placed on an ECMO machine, was life-changing. We witnessed firsthand the challenges families face during such critical moments: the logistics, the uncertainty, and the emotional toll. Even though the Ronald McDonald House was there for a place to reside during this crucial time, we were still needing to face the challenge of making all of the arrangements for our special little one to be transported with the specialized care.
That experience inspired us to create Air-MedAssist—a service built on empathy, expertise, and the commitment to being a lifeline for families in need. Today, we help families across the country access the care they deserve, with compassion and professionalism guiding every decision.
